Shampoo & Condition & Detangle 

1. Using the K-Bien Cleanse Shampoo or a shampoo of your choice, massage into wet hair & scalp.

2. Rinse thoroughly.

Hydrate Leave-in Conditioner

1. Apply the K-Bien Leave-in Conditioner or a leave-in conditioner of your choice to damp hair & focus on mid-lengths & ends.

2. Comb or rake through with fingers evenly, starting from the ends and gently work your way to the roots.

3. Do not rinse.

Define Fluid Gel

1. Distribute the desired amount of K-Bien Define Fluid or a gel of your choice between your palms. 

2. Work into damp hair using the finger raking method for extra definition. 

3. Styling hack - The gel can also be used as a glossing fluid or to refresh finished styles.

Define Foam 

1. Shake the K-Bein Define Foam or a foam of your choice upright. 

2. Point the nozzle downwards into your palm & squirt out a small amount.

3.Smooth evenly through your hair.

Styling   

1. After applying all essential products, using either a Denman brush or a bristle brush or the finger raking method, carefully brush through the hair in sections to define curls.

2. Be sure to angle or bevel the brush to create tension and shake each section after brushing to separate the curls. Alternatively, use your fingers to separate for a more natural look, and consider finger-coiling for extra definition or damaged hair or hard to curl area.

Note: For type 4 hair, brushing is optional. Instead, use a wide-tooth comb to distribute products evenly, then finger rake section by section with tension to define curls. 

For extra definition or for heat damaged or hard to curl hair scrunch with your hands and scrunch again with a microfibre towel or t-shirt. This step is not necessary for type 4 hair.

Diffusing/Drying

Diffuse the hair using a blow dryer, remembering to hover the dryer over the hair for a few minutes before cupping it with a diffuser.

For type 4 curls, cupping isn't necessary; simply hover the dryer throughout the drying process.

Note: Air drying is also a great alternative method for the above 5 steps.

Amp up your hair game 

For extra volume or definition, ensure to use a light oil or serum on your palm or fingers separate the curls and diffuse for a few more minutes. Then, proceed to shake and gently pick the curls to enhance their shape and volume.

Alternatively, for more volume remove the diffusing cup and on a cool setting and low speed blast the roots. 

At the end use a light shining mist or a texture spray to give a gloss finished look.
